…though truthfully this is less meandering than an every-week frustration when doing work timesheets…
My company uses WorkDay for time-tracking. I’ll save my rants on time-tracking for another time.
WorkDay accepts partial hours as small as one one-hundredth of an hour. To view another way, WorkDay allows you to break up your day in to 36 second chunks.
Let’s break that down for a prototypical year:
- 2040 hours worked per year (52 weeks @ 40 hours per week)
- 124,800 minutes worked per year
- 7,488,000 seconds worked per year
- 208,000 36-second chunks worked per year
Does any sensible person do anything in 36-second chunks? No. Even Elon Musk only plans his day in 5-minute blocks.
