Meandering Thoughts #6

The best – and most unexpected – outcome of major league baseball’s new pitch clock is the reduced time the organist has between pitches and at-bats.

I’ve opined for years that the Target Field organist for Minnesota Twins‘ home games should go or be replaced: she’s unimaginative, repetitive, untimely and not even that good. She’s definitely no Nancy Faust. My wife and I love baseball and just cringe and bear it.

I’ve even told the Twins that season tickets are out of the question as long as she remains. However, she’s been the Twins’ organist going back to the Metrodome so I guess I’ll bring out the earbuds.
