I’d hope to work on my flight from Amsterdam Schipol to Minneapolis/St. Paul International, but seemed doubtful as I was on the aisle with someone to my immediate right.
Early in the flight I walked to the back galley to throw away a very unappetizing sandwich and saw Row 48. A complete row. Four seats. Completely empty. Begging for attention.
After confirming with the flight attendant, I moved back from Row 38 and, voila, a remote office was created. I purchased full flight WiFi and was in business. Overall performance remarkably good: updated dependencies, called land-based services only available through corporate VPN, no problem. Headphones on, music loud, coding away. Worked just over 4 hours, even created a PR.
And then later, stretched out across all four seats and took a nap.
