For my nephew’s college graduation, the family celebrated with a meal at Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in downtown Naperville, Illinois.
I ordered the LAKE SUPERIOR WHITEFISH with Mashed Potatoes & Lemon Butter, substituting asparagus for the mashed potatoes.
The fish was lightly grilled and flaky, with the butter drizzled on top adding a subtle flavoring to the fish. The tomatoes were unexpected and nice addition. Overall, a very tasty entry that I would order again. Though grilled, the asparagus wasn’t completely cooked, but didn’t detract from the meal (meaning I just didn’t eat it).
Each person selected a different dish, everyone apparently enjoying their meal. My mom especially liked the fish and chips. Though tempted, everyone skipped dessert: it was a mid-afternoon, neither lunch nor dinner, and either we were full or didn’t want to get sleepy on a long drive home.
Definitely worth another visit the next time I’m in town.
