Returning from Iowa recently, the odometer on my 2013 VW Jetta reached the interesting mileage 123,456.
So are there any upcoming interesting odometer readings?
- I missed factorial mileage 112,624 and the factorials 2,624,120 and 112,624,120 range from extremely unlikely to impossible.
- the sequent 234,567 is also extremely unlikely, especially as car maintenance is not my string suit;
- conveniently forgetting that “2” is prime, the series of primes 135,711 is feasible;
- I also missed fibonacci 12,358 and 1,235,813 is another extremely unlikely odometer reading.
- The next fibonacci would be 1,235,813, extremely unlikely even if I did proper car maintenance;
- the odometer showing the first six digits of π 314,159 is feasible but extremely unlikely.
Hmm, perhaps I just hope to see 150,000, a goal understood by mere mortals and not geeks.
