Computers IRL #7

As seen on Antwerp‘s Tram #1: the screens showing route and upcoming stops is in a startup loop. ERROR: SIM not inserted. Repeated every ten seconds. Guessing the SIM card wasn’t completely pressed down.

I believe that BusTec (Bus Tech Group?) uses Windows-based systems, based on the COM6 nomenclature when connecting to the model. What’s surprised me are the old-school Hayes AT commands sent to the modem, haven’t seen those for years. And yet it appears the standard is alive-and-kicking in 2025 for cellular IoT devices. Who would’ve thunk it.

Now I only need to determine which stop is outside my hotel. Oh well, Google Maps it is.
