Sunday my wife and I visited the Bryant Park Holiday Market on its last day for this year – food, jewelry, clothes, knick-knacks, the usual – but the operating fountain surprised me. Perhaps it stays running until after the market, and though I don’t remember from previous visits I would have expected it to be winterized by now. NYC has already had snow and cold weather that would seem damaging to the fountain. I assume the New York City Parks know what they’re doing, but still surprised.
