Is this what it’s come to? A fairly nondescript flyer poorly taped to a bulletin board in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, apparently begging continental Europeans that they are relevant ten years after Brexit?
Britain‘s relevancy as a world power has declined steadily since World War II with Brexit as its final roll-of-the-die. Oops, bad move. Essentially considered an abject failure, a majority of Brits are now in favor of rejoining the EU. The Trump administration has pushed Britain back into the European Union‘s arms, but is the EU interested in inviting Britain back into the fold? Spain would likely demand the return of Gibraltar. Would France repeat de Gaulle’s veto? Greece repeatedly demands the return of the Elgin Marbles. Each EU member can veto a new member: is Britain sufficiently chastened and desperate, willing to take it up the ass and rejoin the single market?
