Memories of Mom #13

To avoid complications, she never kept the same address….

My mom always loved this line from the Queen song Killer Queen. I never knew why and now will not have an opportunity to ask.

According to Wikipedia, the song is about a high-class call girl, which definitely wasn’t Mom. Did she dream about leaving her current life behind for whatever the alternative might be? Did she long for a life of constant travel which, other than a trip to Hawaii, never really happen? Did she want a level of anonymity that wasn’t possible in small-town rural Iowa?

I certainly don’t know and don’t know if my siblings know either.
