HMV was a major British record company whose letters were acronym for His Master’s Voice, the logo showing a dog listening to a gramophone player playing a record of, presumably, his master speaking.
Lojo, our cat, assumes a similar pose when hearing – and eyeballing – the birds on “his” feeder outside “his” window.
Unsurprisingly, he forgets about everything else when the birds appear: eating, playing, grooming, it doesn’t matter. His instincts kick in and he begins stalking the birds, quietly approaching the window to avoid scaring them away, occasionally even “attacking” and subsequently bouncing off the screen window.
