A major nuisance of modern browsers is videos auto-playing, often unmuted, catching you off-guard. Auto-play is potentially a security issue if a bad actor learned how to embed malware or whatever into the video (not saying it’s possible but good to be paranoid).

Brave is my browser of choice for its security-first approach and ad-blocking capabilities. After one last bitch when ESPN started its video I decided enough is enough: turns out that disabling auto-play is remarkably simple.
