Unexpected ADS-B Ranking

My FlightRadar24 feeder ranking has reached previously-unseen heights due to previously-unseen daily max ranges for ADS-B traffic received during a recent spate of miserably hot-and-humid weather. At least it appears to be the weather; regardless, days over 300 nautical miles makes a big difference.

Last October FlightRadar24 announced their feeder network had exceeded 50,000, the vast majority built by tinkerers like me, which means I’m approaching the 93% of all feeders to FlightRadar24. Their rankings are calculated on a rolling 30-day basis, therefore my ranking will eventually fall as these insane max-range days time out.

But for now, let’s celebrate! I can see it now, smilin’, man …. ahh, beautiful!
